<p>Okay, for many people this is a big problem. Water doesn’t taste all that great generally because water doesn’t really “taste” like anything. Drinking water 8 to 10 times each day gets easier the more you actually do it. It is simply a matter of conditioning your taste buds, and yourself, so that it becomes easier to do. Once you get started, you will begin to crave water.</p>

While some parts of  our brain are more active during sleep time to produce certain kind of  hormones.</p>

<p>If you are serious about maintaining a healthy weight and you know the importance of exercising, then you should consider maintaining a balanced approach. Brisk walking or jogging is a way of exercising that I suggest to everyone who asks me how to exercise for  weight loss. This type of exercise can be done by people of any age group between 7 and 70. Jogging for just 10 minutes a day at your regular pace can help you shed as much as 80 calories. Jogging is also good for your lungs because it helps to fill them up with fresh air and improves blood and oxygen circulation. It is also a great stress buster and stamina builder.</p>
<p><strong>Give Up Bad Habits!</strong></p>
<p>You know the bad habits that I am talking about. Smoking can be a killer,  along with a dependence on alcohol and drugs. These addictions endanger  our health, and should be stopped right away. Bad habits can give us a  false sense of satisfaction, but such is merely momentary. Over time  these dangerous habits will take their toll on our bodies.</p>

<p>Healthy living is as much a  psychological issue as it is a physical undertaking. Reinforcing  yourself with happy and positive thoughts gives you the confidence you  need to conquer anything that life throws your way, giving you the  confidence that makes you feel good about yourself. To feel good about  ourselves is to live an unstressed existence and to take pleasure in your friends, family, home, and recreational pursuits.</p>
<p>A campaign to  attain healthy living can be fun, especially if you know the reward you will gain is a long and healthy life free from disease and physical afflictions that take away the joys of life.</p>

Hippocrates recommended specific wines to purge fever, disinfect wounds, as diuretics, or nutritional supplements, around 450 B.C. Many books have been written about the curative properties of wine as early as 1410 A.D. Many studies worldwide have concluded that most healthy people who drink wine on a regular basis and with moderation live longer. Wine, for centuries, has been considered as a remedy rather than a toxin. In America, for a whole generation, mainly following the Prohibition years, the potential health benefits of wine were denied. But, in 1991, the medicinal properties of wine begin to return when the French Paradox was publicly revealed following a closed scrutiny on the diet of people in Southern France. It was found out that they had a much lower rate of heart disease than in America notwithstanding their intake of high proportion of fatty foods. Since then, over three thousands studies have broken out all over the World, most importantly in America and provided evidence that wine has positive health effects.</p>
<p>HEALTH BENEFITS OF WINE</p>
<p>Many medical studies have showed multiple benefits of regular moderate wine drinking, including lowered risks of stroke, colorectal tumors, some types of cancers, senile dementia, and even the common cold. A Harvard research has indicated that moderate intake of red wine is very beneficial for heart health. The cardio protective effect has been attributed to antioxidants present in the skin and seeds of red grapes. Scientists believe that the antioxidants, called flavonoids, reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Other researches have found that moderate red wine may also inhibit tumor development in some cancers and may as well be helpful in the treatment of diseases like Alzheimer&#8217;s and Parkinson&#8217;s. At the University of California, reasearchers have determined that Cabernet Sauvignon has the highest concentration of flavonoids. Sweeter the wine, the fewer flavonoids. Dryer red wines are the best bet for a flavonoid boost.</p>
<p>They have also found out that grape juice or non alcoholic red wine contains the same antioxydant profile as red wine. However, grape juice does not lower LDL cholesterol the Bad cholesterol) levels compared to red wine. Flavonoids increase HDL cholesterol(the Good cholesterol) and prevent blood clotting , plaques formation in arteries and reduce the blood vessel damage caused by fat deposits. It is very important here to mention that wine consumption should be limited to two servings per day for Men and one serving per day for Women to reap the maximum benefits. Moderate amounts of wine should be limited to individuals with a clean bill of health. People with medical and social conditions worsened by alcohol should not consume alcohol at all.</p>

<p>During your body detox plan, you will be advised to stay away from sugar, dairy products, starchy foods, foods with preservatives and certain cereals. On your menu will be plenty of water, of course, rice, fish, fruits and vegetables and maybe even herbal teas. That&#8217;s the best part about body detox plans; there are a number of food options available that you can enjoy!</p>

<p>The South Beach Diet teaches dieters to eat the right carbs and fats. The diet has three phases. During the 14-day induction period, Dr. Agatston, South Beach Diet founder, predicts a weight loss of between eight and 13 pounds, with belly fat being the first to go. In the second phase dieter should continue to lose 1-2 pounds each week as long as they do not go overboard with the carb reintroduction.</p>
<p>In the first phase, dieter’s banish their bad carb cravings and induce rapid weight loss. In the second phase, some types of carbs are reintroduced and weight loss is slower. The final phase is the “Diet for Life” phase. This is the maintenance diet and will be followed for the rest of the dieter’s life. If at any time the dieter begins to gain unwanted pounds, then he simply goes through the induction and pre-maintenance phases again.</p>
<p>The first phase emphasizes protein from high-quality meat sources with lots of fresh vegetables and salads with real olive oil dressing. Bread, rice, pastas, potatoes, baked goods, soy milk and cheese, yogurt, beets, carrots, corn and all fruit are forbidden in the 14-day induction phase. This includes all candy, cake, ice cream and sugar, plus meats that are cured in sugar or molasses.</p>
<p>The diet encourages three meals a day with a mid-morning and a mid-afternoon snack. There is also a daily meal plan. This plan includes strict portion control in the induction phase. An example of a daily snack is 20 peanuts. And 30 pistachios is another snack option.</p>
<p>Unlike Atkins, unlimited protein consumption is not advised or allowed on this diet. However, during the later phases of the diet some of the strict portion control does end and dieters are able to eat until satiated.</p>
<p>Some of the forbidden foods can be slowly reintroduced, sometimes in modified form in the second phase of the diet. The second phase lasts until the dieter’s goal weight is reached. However, white flour products, potatoes, corn, carrots, beets and sweet fruits like banana and pineapple are still forbidden.</p>
<p>After dieters reach their ideal weight, they proceed on to their Diet for Life or maintenance diet.</p>
<p>In this phase the forbidden foods are processed foods, white flour products, sweet fruits, and foods with a high glycemic index in general.</p>
<p>Many people have had great success with the South Beach Diet.  It does teach you to select the foods you eat wisely and encourages you to watch all of the carbs and fats you eat. There is a lot of information available for people who want to try the diet. There is a South Beach Diet book to teach you all the facts you need to know to be successful.  There is an added bonus in that there are packaged frozen foods at the market to buy and eat to maintain the diet. Good luck with your diet plan and don&#8217;t forget to exercise.</p>
